Created Date: 2014-02-11 Comment: 0

reKon audio has just released the VST-AU Virus Editor 2.0.1 update. This update addresses the following bug fixes:

  1. Changed default settings for MIDI Setup/Editor MIDI In Poly Pressure and Aftertouch settings to 'On' position so Editor can respond to Virus Poly Pressure messages.
  2. Fixed Phaser/Stages parameter range (was 0-6, now 0-5. removed 'Off' position in GUI as it is not present on synth).
  3. On instantiation of software; now properly loads, displays, and sends the data for the initial patch to the synth.
  4. Fixed 'Send Patch to Synth' and 'Send Bank to Synth' features. It was sending the wrong MIDI channel and Bank byte values. Note- If you have selected anything other than Bank A in the Editor (banks B-H), these functions will set the patch/bank to bank B. Bank A to Bank A. Banks C-H on the Virus are not writeable, so those are not available to write to. Changed the MIDI channel to use the MIDI Omni mode (setting hex value 0x10, which equals 16 decimal = OMNI mode).
  5. Fixed Mod Matrix Assign 4 - 6 parameters. All poly pressure numbers for Mod Assign 4-5 (Source, Dest, and Amount parameters for each) were incorrectly labeled in the original Access Virus OS 5 User Manual MIDI spec. These should be poly pressure messages 103-111 (not 102-110). Software has now been modified to account for this user manual MIDI spec error.
  6. Fixed the Assign 6 Source option list. It is now the same list as the other Mod Assign sources.
  7. Changed the GUI for OSC 2 Detune to use 0 to 127 (instead of -64 to 63).
  8. Changed the GUI for OSC 3 Detune to use 0 to -127 (instead of -64 to 63).
